Get to know cultural exchange enthusiast, former dancer and Outpost House Leader Agustina Cal for this week's Member Monday.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I have been a house leader at Outpost since October of 2019. My passion for cultural exchange pushed me to start traveling at a very young age. I have been fortunate enough to make friends from very different backgrounds over the years. I was a dancer for the Joffrey Ballet back in the day and am currently seeking a career in health and fitness.
What's your favorite Outpost memory?
My favorite Outpost memory is the day that I arrived in NYC. George, the manager welcomed me as if I was family. Outpost's team is comprised of caring, warm and generous people and behind their actions, there is always an intention to go further than needed.
What's your favorite part of New York?
My favorite part of New York is the Highline and all of the art galleries in SoHo. It is very inspiring to know that you live surrounded by artists where society constantly moves to change and evolve.
What are you working on now?
I am currently volunteering at Outpost for several of their houses in the city. I am happy to be part of their project since it makes many people's lives better and therefore is a step toward a better world. Many of my roommates and friends in this community acknowledge how much easier it is to keep their work/life balance by sharing our coliving space. It provides them with the opportunity to share their city experiences with new friends and never feel alone again. Thank you Outpost for an incredible journey.
