Meet Tara from Canada, a marketing student, traveler, and aspiring diving instructor!

Tell us a bit about yourself.

Hi, world! I am a 20-year-old political science graduate from Canada. I lived at Outpost for the summer while I interned for an event production company in Midtown Manhattan. I love the arts, nature and all things vintage!

What's your favorite Outpost memory?

I don't just have one memory in particular, but I really enjoyed the community aspect of Outpost. It was always interesting to sit around the dining room table and talk with my international housemates! I am beyond thankful to have met so many wonderful people in New York.

What’s your favorite part of New York?

I love that there is always something to do — either free or paid. You can find anything at any time that suits your interests. From a late-night, one-dollar pizza run (the pizza at 23rd and 7th is my favorite) to a last-minute concert in Brooklyn (download Bandsintown to find concerts) to a fun workout (get a free trial for ClassPass)!

What are you working on now?

I'm back in Canada to begin a graduate program in Montreal for marketing! Once I finish, I plan on traveling around a bit — no countries picked yet, but I have promised myself to get my PADI certification within the next 2 years.
