Our Favorite At-Home Cocktails to Try

If you're looking to amp up your bartending skills, quarantine is a perfect time to test out some new at-home creations. Rather than ordering a drink to-go in a plastic pouch, create a beautiful and summery beverage to share with your Outpost housemates. Especially in the summertime, happy hour truly can be any hour. You can make these recipes without any high-tech bartending tools, but an at-home cocktail shaker kit certainly won't hurt.

Cherry Vodka Sour

Want something tart and simple? This recipe only calls for four ingredients and is perfect for any hot summer day. You'll need limeade, tonic water, Knudsen cherries and grapefruit-flavored vodka to get shaking.

Mango Mezcal Margarita

The smokey mezcal in this blended drink pairs perfectly with the sweet flavor of tropical mango. This recipe only takes five minutes to mix up, but you will need a blender!

Cucumber Moscow Mule

There's nothing quite as refreshing and light as a Moscow mule, and this recipe has the cool summer addition of a cucumber twist. This drink is best served in a copper mug, topped with some fresh mint leaves and cucumber wheels.

Kahlua Cold Brew Coffee Cocktail

The only thing better than a creamy cold brew coffee on a hot summer day is one made with Kahlua. You can garnish with chocolate syrup, whipped cream or a coffee syrup flavor of your choice.

Strawberry Mojito

If you love a minty mojito in the summer months, try out this strawberry mojito recipe to mix things up. You'll need a batch of simple syrup to perfect this recipe — we recommend making a container full to save in the fridge for coffee and other cocktail recipes.

Grapefruit and Rosemary Gin Cocktail

Like a classic gin and tonic, but with a twist. It's sweet and slightly sour with the grapefruit and a perfect cocktail to share! Use fresh sprigs of rosemary to garnish your cocktail and make it look high-class.

Blackberry Pineapple Rum Cocktail

This delicious tropical cocktail is simple yet decadent. You'll need to make blackberry simple syrup to complete this cocktail — which can be easily added to other summer drink recipes for a fruity twist.

Dark and Stormy

A classic drink for good reason — this version is made with spiced rum which pairs well with crisp ginger beer. All you'll need is dark rum and ginger beer!
