Coliving is a shared housing model. Tenants, whom we call members, share kitchens, living rooms, and other common spaces with all members, and have a private or shared bedroom. Cleaning of common/shared areas and supply restocking are provided as a complimentary service.

Most of what you need — furniture, kitchen supplies, most events — is included in one flat fee.

If you rent a Coliving Room in New York City, Standard membership is required and billed on the same invoice as your rent as a separate line item at $249/month. Premium is an optional upgrade for +$49/month.

Standard includes utilities management, 24/7 support, monthly common-area cleaning, community events, partner discounts, renters protection, and a 7-day satisfaction guarantee.

Premium adds a 14-day satisfaction guarantee, priority support, early move-in eligibility, job-loss/visa protection, a free return stay, repair discounts, and credit-building benefits.

You can upgrade to Premium during your stay, subject to eligibility and timing restrictions. Your membership continues with your lease when you renew.

Each Outpost house can include multiple apartments, and each apartment can include several private rooms.

When you rent a room, your room is private, while spaces like the kitchen, living room, and bathroom may be shared with the other people in your apartment.

Amenities can vary by house, apartment, and room. Some amenities belong to the whole property, while others are specific to your apartment or your room. Check the listing details to see exactly what's included in the home you choose.

Your room comes move-in ready with a bed, furniture, and kitchen essentials. You also get common-area cleaning, supply restocking, workspace access, security features, and most community events.

Utilities and WiFi are included in your monthly payment and shown as a separate line item on your invoice.

Yes! At most houses, there is just a $250/month surcharge for couples or any situation in which two people are sharing a private room. There are some instances where we can not allow couples in a specific apartment in order to maintain a proper number of tenants in a given apartment.

For the security of our current members living in our spaces, we do not reveal the exact address of the spaces until you receive an offer. All of our houses are within a 10-minute walk of a subway line.

Your space is yours to share. Whether you're hosting friends, family, or someone special, you're welcome to have overnight guests for up to 8 nights total per calendar month.

Just a few things to keep in mind:

• Register your guests: Add every overnight guest to your tenant portal before they arrive.
• Guests under 18: You'll need written approval from our team before they stay overnight.
• Extended stays: From the 9th night in a calendar month, your guest may be considered an additional occupant, with an extra occupancy fee.
• Partners living with you: If your partner primarily lives in your apartment, a $250 monthly surcharge applies, prorated from the date we determine they've moved in.

For longer stays, we may ask your guest to provide ID and agree to a background check. We also reserve the right to decline any guest as an additional occupant, with or without a stated reason.
